Vasco Saavedra

Vasco Saavedra has extensive work experience in software development, particularly in the field of document and workflow management systems. Vasco has held positions at various companies, including Paymerang and enChoice, Inc. At Paymerang, Vasco worked as a Senior Software Developer on the SimplyAP project, utilizing technologies such as .net and Google Cloud Platform. At enChoice, Inc., they served as a Senior Software Developer for SimplyAP and was also a Developer for KtIQ, working on an intelligent API for document understanding. Additionally, they were a UX Lead Developer and Developer for KwikTag KTX Client at enChoice, Inc., working on a Web-based document management system. Prior to these roles, Vasco worked as a Senior Java Developer as an independent contractor.

Before entering the software development field, Vasco served as an Invited Lecturer Professor and Monitor at Universidade de Aveiro. Vasco has also worked at PT Inovação e Sistemas as a Java Senior Developer, contributing to the development of specific components for the Rhino Telecom Application Server. Earlier in their career, at PT Inovação / Maisis - Information Systems, Vasco worked as a Java Middle Developer on projects such as ACM (Active Campaign Management) and NGIN Manager, where they developed OSGI plug-ins and Java EJB components for telecom campaign promotions and OSS management platforms.

Throughout their career, Vasco has gained experience with various technologies, including .net, Google Cloud Platform, Java, Apache Felix, Active MQ, UML, Xdoclet, Ant, Jboss Application Server, Sonar, JSP, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Business Components.

Vasco Saavedra obtained a Licentiate degree in Information Systems from ISEP between 1997 and 2002.
