Nathan Smith

Nathan Smith has a diverse work experience history. Nathan currently holds a position as a Senior Software Engineer at Payroll Integrations, which they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at OneTrust as a Software Engineer from November 2020 to April 2023. In this role, they focused on front-end web development using Angular and was responsible for feature work on core site functions, design system, and component library development.

Before joining OneTrust, Nathan worked at Bentley Systems as a Software Engineer. Nathan started in August 2019 and left in October 2020. During their time there, they managed development on a User Management application, participated in the development of InnerSource CSS and React UI library, and worked on redesigning complex UI for generating graphical column schedules. In addition, they contributed to adapting the in-house distributed computing system to leverage Azure Batch and rewrote internal management web app and web API with modern technologies.

Nathan's professional journey began as a student at Mississippi State University from May 2012 to May 2017. Nathan later interned at Bentley Systems in 2015, where they combined augmented reality technology with Bentley's mobile 3D model viewer and updated a legacy VB.Net application. Nathan also interned at Red Hat from May 2013 to August 2014.

With experience in software engineering, front-end web development, UI design, and leveraging modern technologies, Nathan has a strong foundation in the field and a track record of success.

Nathan Smith received a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2016. Nathan then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science at the same university from 2016 to 2017.
