Ashish Agarwal

Ashish Agarwal has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ashish is currently working as an Associate Vice President at Paytm, starting from 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Associate Director - Head of Growth at Freecharge from 2021 to 2022. During this time, they were responsible for leading growth, user acquisition, retention, and cross-selling. Ashish also oversaw the launch of new products and categories and managed campaigns and digital marketing budget.

Before their role at Freecharge, Ashish worked at METRO Cash & Carry India Private Limited as a General Manager - Customer Life Cycle Management from 2017 to 2020. In this position, they handled customer development, marketing promotions, and city strategy. Ashish achieved targets for customer buying rate and visits and was responsible for customer loyalty.

Prior to their role at METRO Cash & Carry India Private Limited, Ashish worked as an International Marketing Manager at Metro Cash and Carry from 2014 to 2017. Ashish designed customer strategy and focused on increasing basket share and frequency.

Ashish also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Cummins Inc. in 2013, where they worked on streamlining shop floor work and designing sales process maps. Ashish also had an exchange student role at Maastricht University in 2012.

Earlier in their career, Ashish worked as a System Engineer at Infosys from 2010 to 2012, where they implemented claims processing portals and enabled Excel macros for healthcare divisions. Ashish also worked as an Assistant Manager at Idea Cellular Ltd in 2010, where they designed a central website interface.

Ashish Agarwal has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, earned between 2006 and 2010. Ashish also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development, obtained between 2012 and 2014. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt from ADAAP Process Solutions in 2013 and Capstone Business Simulation from Capsim Management Simulations Inc. in 2012.
