Karen Ergas

Karen Ergas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in banking and corporate governance. Currently, Karen serves as a Board Member at Scotiabank and IdDC, Instituto de Directores de Chile, and holds the position of Independent Board Member at PAZ Corp. Previous roles include Board Member at Transbank and Redbanc, as well as a member of the board with Comision Clasificadora de Riesgo (CCR). Karen has held significant positions at BancoEstado, including Head of the International Division and General Manager of the New York Branch, where responsibilities included overseeing international operations and launching new banking services. Karen began their career at Banco de Chile, progressing from Treasurer to Head of International Financial Institutions. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Facultad de Economía y Negocios - Universidad de Chile, a Master's degree from Universidad de los Andes, and an International Certification in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.
