Jillian Pihulak's work experience begins in 2018 as a Cartographer for Oregon State Libraries and Press, where they digitized early maps, designed web maps, collaborated with others, and provided cartographic input on the Atlas project. In 2019, they worked as an Associate Technician at Consolidated Metco, where they used AutoCAD to digitize reports, created an emergency evacuation map, and performed various tasks in the shop. In 2020, they joined the Oregon State University Extension Service Fire Program as a Cartographer/Author, working on a project to assist Oregonians affected by the Labor Day Fires using their GIS, web development, and writing skills. Most recently, in 2022, they started working as a GIS Analyst 1 at PBS Engineering and Environmental.
Jillian Pihulak completed their education from 2016 to 2020 at Oregon State University. Jillian pursued a degree in Geography and Geospatial Science, specializing in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. Additionally, from 2016 to 2018, they earned a Geographic Information Science Certificate from the same university.
