Raychel O.

Raychel O. has a diverse work experience in various industries. Raychel began their career as an ESL Staff Assistant at Evergreen School District in 2004. In 2005, they became the Site Director at High Trails Outdoor Science School, responsible for daily operations and staff supervision. Raychel then worked as a Waitstaff/Housekeeper at Gros Ventre River Ranch in 2009 and as the Ropes Course Director at Camp Nor'wester in 2007. In 2006, Raychel served as a PNW Adventure Trip Leader at Camp Chi.

In 2010, Raychel became a Live-in Caregiver for a private family, providing assistance and security to an elderly woman with dementia. Raychel joined Portland State University in 2013 as the Environmental Health & Safety Lead Student Worker, where they organized volunteer information, conducted safety inspections, and trained new student employees. Raychel also worked as a Preventative Maintenance Intern, assisting with sustainability projects.

Raychel's next role was at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), where they held multiple positions. Raychel served as the Vice-President - Conferences/Past-President from 2014 to 2016, fully planning and executing conferences and leading the chapter to success.

In 2016, Raychel joined Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) as a Staff Engineer, responsible for engineering projects. Raychel also worked at PSI as an Environmental Engineering Intern in 2016.

Most recently, Raychel joined PBS Engineering and Environmental in 2019 as an Environmental Engineering Staff, where they use their expertise in environmental engineering.

Raychel O. has an extensive education history. Raychel started their academic journey in 1995 at Evergreen High School, where they focused on advanced coursework and college preparation. After graduating with a high school diploma in 1998, they attended the University of Washington from 1998 to 2004. There, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in European Studies, with a minor in Spanish.

In 2012, Raychel attended Clark College to pursue a degree in engineering. Although the specific degree obtained is not mentioned, this experience contributed to their academic background in the field.

Subsequently, Raychel transferred to Portland State University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree from 2013 to 2016. Raychel'smajor was Environmental Engineering, complemented by a minor in Business Administration.

Throughout their education, Raychel also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they received certification in Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting. In 2018, they became an Engineering Intern certified by the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering & Land Surveying. Additionally, Raychel obtained certification as an AHERA Management Planner from the US Environmental Protection Agency. In 2020, they acquired the Oregon Heating Oil Tank Supervisor certification from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, as well as the Washington State Site Assessment certification from the Washington State Department of Ecology. Finally, in 2022, they completed the AHERA Building Inspector Refresher and HAZWOPER (40 Hour) Refresher certifications from the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Labor OSHA, respectively. Raychel also holds a Red Cross certification in CPR/First Aid, obtained in 2016.
