Margaret E. Barnes

Margaret E. Barnes is an experienced educator and tutor, currently working as a Mathematics Tutor at Varsity Tutors since June 2022, focusing on various levels of math and preparing students for the SAT and ACT exams. Margaret has also served as a Substitute Teacher for PCMI Services since October 2016, primarily working with secondary grade levels. In addition to these roles, Margaret has been a Private Tutor since March 2012, offering assistance in ACT prep, math, English, and science. Previous experience includes serving as an Operations Supervisor at Penske Logistics, where management of a fleet of 60-65 drivers was a key responsibility, and as a Laboratory Supervisor at Koch Materials/Sem Group, and Technical Manager at Cadence Environmental Energy, overseeing waste stream approvals and quality control. Margaret holds an Associate of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management from the University of Arkansas Cossatot and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology/Chemistry from Centenary College of Louisiana.
