Joe Augenbraun has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Joe currently serves as the CEO of Peanut Robotics since 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an instructor at Stanford University on a part-time basis starting in 2014. From 2016 to 2018, they held the role of Head of Product at Luminar Technologies, where they were involved in strategy, partnerships, and technology related to self-driving cars and trucks. Before that, Joe was the CEO and Founder of Martian Robots, a startup that was eventually acquired by Aeolus Robotics. Joe also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at SRI International in 2015. Earlier in their career, they served as a consultant at eBay Inc from 2012 to 2014, where they led a major new initiative. Prior to that, they held the role of CEO at Solar Red from 2008 to 2012. Joe also served as the CEO and Chairman of the Board at Neato Robotics from 2005 to 2009, where they oversaw the production and distribution of consumer robotic vacuum cleaners. Before that, Joe was a co-founder, CTO, and SVP Engineering at WorldGate, a company that sold cable internet products. Joe played a key role in the company's growth and successful IPO, as well as building and maintaining technology partnerships. Joe started their career as a researcher at Hitachi America from 1992 to 1995. Joe Augenbraun completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware, from the year 1982 to 1986. Moreover, they pursued a Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree from Stanford University, from the year 2004 to 2005.
