In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating client projects, ensuring they stay on track, and progress smoothly. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to establish project goals, timelines, and deliverables. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting practices, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
-Project planning and coordination: Work closely with clients to define project goals, scope, and requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, deliverables, resource allocation, and dependencies.
-Project tracking and progress monitoring: Implement project management tools and techniques to track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address challenges to ensure projects stay on track and meet established milestones.
-Client communication and relationship management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Establish and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
-Team collaboration and coordination: Liaise with internal teams, such as accountants, auditors, and administrative staff, to allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure effective collaboration. Foster a cohesive and motivated project team environment.
-Risk assessment and mitigation: Implement risk management plans to minimize disruptions and proactively address issues as they arise.
-Quality assurance and compliance: Ensure projects adhere to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain accuracy, integrity, and completeness of project deliverables.
-Reporting and documentation: Generate project status reports, including key metrics, milestones achieved, and upcoming deliverables. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
-Continuous improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and standardization. Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance project management methodologies within the firm.
-Professional development: Stay updated on industry trends, project management best practices, and accounting regulations. Continuously develop skills and knowledge relevant to project management.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
-Proven experience as a Project Manager in the accounting field, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
-Excellent project management skills, including project planning, tracking, and risk management.
-Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
