Martin Sommers

Martin Sommers has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Martin started their career as a Help Desk Analyst at GfK in October 2014 and worked there until July 2016. From August 2016 to July 2017, they served as a Desktop Support Engineer at RB and also worked as a Customer Engineer at mindSHIFT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh USA, Inc. during the same time period. Martin then joined Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. as a Technical Support Engineer in July 2017 and left in November 2018. Martin then worked as an Application Support Engineer at Pearl Capital Business Funding, LLC. from December 2018 to December 2020. Martin later became a Senior Cloud Engineer at the same company from January 2021 to March 2023. Presently, Martin holds the position of Site Reliability Engineer at Pearl Capital Business Funding, LLC. since March 2023. In addition to their work experience, Martin also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Cybersecurity for Executives at Ithaca College, starting from April 2021. Martin has extensive skills in cloud infrastructure management, code development, and security best practices.

Martin Sommers completed their education at the County College of Morris from 2008 to 2010. Martin obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems during this time. Prior to that, they attended Pequannock Township High School from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Diploma with a focus on College Prep.
