Johnny Sena, Ph.D.

Johnny Sena, Ph.D. has over 16 years of experience in the field of molecular biology and bioinformatics. In 2021, they began working as Platform Science Manager and Research Scientist - Endophyte Team Lead at Pebble Labs Inc. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at NCGR as Laboratory Coordinator and Bioinformatics Research Associate. Johnny also worked at Lumenogix Inc. from 2014 to 2021 as Associate Director of Customer Support. From 2008 to 2014, they were a PhD Molecular Biology student at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and prior to this, they were a Graduate Student at Eastern New Mexico University from 2005 to 2008.

Johnny Sena, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pre-med and Molecular Biology from Eastern New Mexico University between 2001 and 2008. Johnny then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, which they completed in 2014. In 2017, they obtained Pacific Biosciences Certified Sequencing Provider Certification.
