Esther Hersh has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2011, they volunteered for the Temple Mount Sifting Project, where they supervised volunteers and identified artifacts. In 2012, they worked as an Art Director at Midwest Campers Inc, managing a staff and creating educational art programming for children. At the Museum of Jewish Heritage, they interned as a Museum Education Intern, leading tours and facilitating group discussions. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an Assistant Art Advisor at Glori Cohen Art Advisory, assisting with art fairs, writing artist bios, and organizing exhibitions. Esther then transitioned to the role of Assistant Teacher at the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology, where they assisted students with various projects and taught programming languages. In 2016, they became a Consultant for the NYC Department of Education, and in 2018, they co-founded peblio.co. Furthermore, in 2018, they were also a Mozilla Open Leader.

Esther Hersh completed their Master's Degree in Design and Technology from New York University in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fine/Studio Arts from Yeshiva University, where they studied from 2011 to 2014.
