Maria José Hernández De León has extensive work experience in marketing and category management. Maria José is currently the Head of Marketing at PedidosYa. Previously, they worked at bia as the Marketing Manager at Chocolates Best and later as the Brand Manager of Choco Panda. In these roles, they were responsible for brand strategy, image renovation, packaging reengineering, innovation, pricing, and communication platforms. Maria José successfully established brand positioning, led a brand turnaround, and launched new product lines. Before that, they worked at Kimberly-Clark as the Regional Category Management Manager, where they led category strategy for various products. Maria José also worked at Henkel as a Regional Category Manager, leading category management and successful negotiations with supermarket chains. Additionally, they worked at PepsiCo and Spectrum Brands as a Regional Modern Trade Analyst, responsible for sales strategy, analysis, and category management.
Maria José Hernández De León has a Master's Degree in Marketing and Advertising from the National Business School. Maria José also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the same institution. Additionally, they pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. Maria José has obtained certifications in Digital Marketing, Digital Disruption, Green Belt Six Sigma, and Google Ads Campaigns.
