Hywel Llewellyn

Hywel Llewellyn has extensive work experience in the legal field within the banking and finance sector. Hywel is currently working as the Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking Legal & Deputy General Counsel at Peel Hunt since September 2017. Prior to joining Peel Hunt, Hywel worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Deutsche Bank from May 2017 to September 2017. Hywel has also held various roles at J.P. Morgan, where they worked as an Executive Director in both London and Hong Kong from October 2007 to May 2017. Before joining J.P. Morgan, Hywel worked as an Associate at Hogan Lovells, specializing in Capital Markets, from November 2004 to September 2007. Hywel began their career as a Trainee at Burges Salmon LLP from September 2001 to September 2003.

Hywel Llewellyn completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Swansea University from 1996 to 1999. Hywel then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of the West of England from 1999 to 2000. Following that, they attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2000 to 2001, where they completed a Legal Practice Course. In 2023, Hywel obtained an International Advanced Certificate in AML from the International Compliance Association.
