Joshua Schiffman, MD has a diverse work experience. Joshua is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Peel Therapeutics, a clinical stage biotech company that develops medicines inspired by the evolution of elephants, plants, and humans for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases. Joshua is also the Co-Founder of ItRunsInMyFamily.com, Inc.

Dr. Schiffman has had a long association with the University of Utah, where they held various roles since 2008. Joshua started as a Professor of Pediatrics, specializing in Hematology/Oncology. Joshua also served as the Education Director for the Program in Personalized Health Care and as the Medical Director of the High Risk Pediatric Cancer Clinic. Additionally, they held the Edward B. Clark, MD Endowed Chair in Pediatric Research from 2013 to 2019.

In 2018, Dr. Schiffman became the Medical Director of the Family Cancer Assessment Clinic at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Prior to that, they served as the Interim Director of the Translational Oncology Core at the same institute from 2012 to 2013.

Joshua Schiffman, MD pursued their undergraduate studies at Brown University from 1992 to 1996, where they focused on Psychology and Biology. Following this, they attended Brown Medical School from 1996 to 2000, earning their MD degree. Dr. Schiffman then continued their medical education at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2000 to 2008, specializing in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
