Vivek Philar

Vivek Philar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Vivek is the current Chief Executive Officer at Peer Consulting Resources Inc., a company they joined in 2011. Vivek has held various roles within the company, including VP Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management, Senior Principal Consultant, Senior BI Consultant, and Principal Consultant.

Prior to their current position, Vivek worked at the New York City Fire Department from 2015 to 2019 as a Business Solutions Consultant. During their time there, they led the FDNY business solution team and was responsible for solution and data architecture, stakeholder management, and operations management.

Before that, Vivek was a Senior Principal Consultant at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs from 2013 to 2015. Their role involved being a key team member in the implementation team for Accela (ALBA implementation) across various divisions.

Vivek also has experience working as a Business Intelligence Architect at Liquidnet from 2010 to 2012, where their focus was on implementing enterprise-wide dashboards and supporting functions within the sales and marketing environment.

Earlier in their career, they worked at the City of New York as a Business Intelligence Developer from 2007 to 2010, at Educational Testing Service as a Business Intelligence Specialist from 2005 to 2007, and at Visual Web Solutions as a Programmer Specialist from 2000 to 2002.

Throughout their career, Vivek has demonstrated a strong background in IT consulting, data analysis, and project management.

Vivek Philar obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategy & Leadership from the Drucker School of Management from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Karnataka State Open University from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Vivek Philar holds several certifications. In December 2018, they became Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. Vivek also obtained the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the same institution in June 2018.

Furthermore, Vivek Philar has certifications from IBM. Vivek is an IBM Cognos 10 Administrator, obtained in January 2014. Vivek is also an IBM Certified Designer - Cognos 10 BI Reports, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
