Chief Design Officer at Peer

Kyle Hay has extensive work experience in the design industry. Kyle is currently the Chief Design Officer at Peer, Inc. since December 2020. Prior to this, Kyle owned and served as the Principal Designer at Kyle Hay Design since January 2010.

From January 2016 to December 2020, Kyle worked as the Principal Industrial Designer at Density, where they were responsible for various design aspects, including Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Installation Design and Documentation, Design for Manufacturing, Packaging, Accessories, Product Visualization, and Special Projects. During their time at Density, they designed the Density Entry and Open Area sensors and packaging.

Kyle also worked at Leap Motion (now Ultraleap) from August 2011 to January 2016, holding the positions of Creative Director and Principal Industrial Designer. In these roles, they played a crucial role in the initial stages of hardware product design, strategy, packaging, and brand identity at the company. Kyle led the development of the Leap Motion Controller from concept to mass production, with global distribution to over 150 countries.

Additionally, Kyle worked as an Industrial Designer at One & Co in September and October 2012, where they collaborated with the design team to create the design language for HTC mobile phones. Furthermore, they gained experience as an Industrial Designer at lenartstudios from August 2011 to September 2012, working alongside principal designer Chris Lenart on multiple client projects involving concept generation, 3D modeling, rendering, and brand identity.
