Carl Bartells

Carl Bartells has a diverse work experience in the steel industry. Carl is currently the President of Peerless Steel Co, having held the position since November 2021. Before becoming President, they served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Peerless Steel from February 2019 to November 2021. Prior to that, Carl was the Vice President at Peerless Steel starting in April 2014. Carl also worked as an Account Manager at Steel Technologies from April 2012 to April 2014 and as a Senior Sales Executive at Lee Steel from April 2010 to April 2012. Prior to that, they held various managerial roles at InterWire Group from December 2008 to April 2010 and at Ryerson from July 2006 to December 2008. Carl's positions at Ryerson included General Manager, General Manager - Pickle Line, General Manager- National Accounts, Director of Marketing, General Manager - Automotive Sales and Marketing, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Manager. Carl'scareer in the steel industry started at Inland Steel Co. in June 1986, where they worked as a Sales Representative and Customer Service Representative until June 1994.

Carl Bartells attended West Aurora High School from 1978 to 1982. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1982 to 1986.
