Essence L. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and investigations. Currently serving as Sr. Counsel for Ethics & Compliance Investigations at Peloton Interactive since September 2024, Essence L. previously held the position of Associate Compliance Counsel at DailyPay, Inc. from February 2022 to September 2024. Prior experience includes a role as VP Compliance/Global Investigations at Moody's Corporation from April 2015 to February 2022, Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York from November 2013 to April 2015, and Associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP from September 2006 to November 2013. Essence L. holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law, a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University, and has academic roots from the University of Sydney and the Bronx High School of Science.
