Rob Chapman

Rob Chapman has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Rob started their career in 1993 as a Graduate Trainee at Independent Insurance and worked their way up to become a Property Underwriting Manager. During their time at Independent Insurance, they assisted the Regional Underwriting Manager and was responsible for managing a profitable and growing account.

In 2001, Rob joined Fusion Insurance as a Regional Underwriting Manager and eventually became a Regional Manager, leading all underwriting, sales, and operations in the North region. Rob then served as the Regional Director North, overseeing the development, leadership, and profitable growth of the Leeds, Manchester, Scotland, and Northern Ireland markets.

In 2014, Rob joined Pen Underwriting UK as the Regional Director North before taking on the role of Commercial Director. Currently, they are the Managing Director, accountable for the management and successful delivery of all budgeted metrics across the P&L. Rob'sresponsibilities include driving sustainable year-on-year growth, maintaining continuous improvement in proposition and operational efficiencies, and developing and executing strategies to achieve better-than-targeted loss ratios.

Following this, Rob Chapman enrolled at the University College of York from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Maths & Sports Science.

In 1994, Rob Chapman studied Insurance Exams at the Chartered Insurance Institute until 1996, earning an ACII qualification. Later in 2011 and 2012, they attended Hult Ashridge for an Executive Leadership Programme, though the field of study is unspecified.
