Derick Asem

Derick Asem is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community development and WASH programming. Currently serving as a WASH Officer at Pencils of Promise since May 2019, Derick organizes and implements WASH initiatives and conducts regular visits to schools to support local stakeholders. Previously, Derick held the position of Community Development Officer at West African Primate Conservation Action, where responsibilities included educating communities about tree planting, managing project information flow, and engaging community members in conservation efforts. Earlier roles include WASH Supervisor at EDSAM Social Network, focusing on community mobilization and hygiene promotion, and Community Mobilisation Officer at Youth Empowerment Synergy, emphasizing outreach and stakeholder relationship building. Derick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Organization and Advocacy from the University for Development Studies.
