Ross Williams

Ross Williams has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps engineering. Ross is currently employed as a Principal DevOps Engineer at Pendula since July 2022. Prior to their current role, Ross worked at Canva as a Technical Team Lead - Release Engineering from December 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Canva, Ross held multiple positions at Console Group. Ross served as a Practice Lead - DevOps from July 2018 to December 2021, where they led the DevOps team and contributed to the company's overall infrastructure and systems. Prior to this role, they worked as a Technical Lead - DevOps from May 2017 to June 2018, focusing on the technical aspects of DevOps implementation and management. Ross also held the position of Senior Development Operations Engineer from September 2015 to April 2017, where they played a key role in the development and operations of the company's systems. From March 2014 to August 2015, they served as an Infrastructure & Systems Engineer, responsible for maintaining and managing the company's infrastructure.

Before their time at Console Group, Ross worked at Aurecon as a Computer Systems Engineer from June 2006 to November 2013. In this role, they gained experience in software specification, development, and administration, as well as control system deployments and commissioning.

Ross began their career as a Student Engineer at both Connell Wagner and Norman Disney and Young in 2005, where they gained valuable practical experience in the field.

Throughout their career, Ross has demonstrated expertise in DevOps, release engineering, infrastructure management, and systems engineering.

Ross Williams attended The University of Queensland from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Systems and a Bachelor of Business Management (BBusMan) in Organizational Development. In addition to their degrees, Ross Williams has also obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services. Ross became an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional in June 2016 and an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate Level in July 2014.
