Delonna Halliday has extensive experience in the education sector. Delonna began their career as an Elementary Teacher in Tacoma Public Schools in 2005, where they focused on integrating technology and arts into student learning. Delonna later transitioned to roles such as Literacy Coach, Innovative Technologies Facilitator, Assistant Principal, and most recently, School Principal in Peninsula School District since 2019. Throughout their career, Delonna has demonstrated a passion for innovative teaching methods and a commitment to student success.
Delonna Halliday obtained a BA in Theatre Arts and Business Communications from Central Washington University in 2001. Delonna then pursued K-8 Education, earning a MiT degree from City University of Seattle in 2004. In 2014, they graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Masters in Education, specializing in Principal and Program Administrator Certification. Delonna also completed additional certifications in Building and Director Administrator from Pacific Lutheran University and National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in EMC Art. Delonna briefly attended Barclay College for Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1995 and George Fox University in 1993-1994.
