Melissa Price Phr

Melissa Price, SHRM-CP PHR, has over 15 years of experience in human resources. Melissa began their career as a Human Resources Coordinator at Nebraska Book Company, Inc. in 2005, where they developed processes and executed HR strategies. In 2008, they were promoted to HR Assistant Manager, focusing on performance management and addressing challenges in this area. From 2012 to 2014, Melissa served as the Human Resource Manager, overseeing a team responsible for benefits, performance management, education, payroll, and other HR functions. In 2014, they were elevated to the role of Human Resources Director, leading a talented HR team and driving strategic initiatives. Melissa joined PenLink in 2015 as the Director of Human Resources, where they continue to develop and lead all people and culture-related aspects of the company, partnering with leaders to drive business results through culture strategies and talent acquisition.

Melissa Price, SHRM-CP PHR, holds a Master's of Arts degree in Management from Doane University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's of Art degree in Psychology and Business from Kansas State University, completing their studies between 2001 and 2005. In terms of certifications, Melissa obtained their PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2009. Melissa later acquired their SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in January 2015.
