Brian Schmidt

Brian Schmidt has extensive work experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in application development and architecture roles. Brian is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Application Development & Architecture at PENNYMAC, starting in June 2022. Previously, they held the same position at Guaranteed Rate from January 2019 to May 2022, where they managed a large organization and had a significant budget responsibility. Before that, they worked at Caliber Home Loans, Inc. as the Vice President of Application Development & Architecture from 2012 to 2018. Brian also has experience in technology management at Bank of America, where they held roles as a VP of Senior Technology Manager from 2007 to 2011 and as an AVP of Reporting & Analytics from 2002 to 2007. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in systems architecture, software engineering, DevOps, and data management.

Brian Schmidt is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Studies degree in Information Technology from Purdue University, with an expected completion date in 2024. Prior to this, they studied Computer Science & Finance at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
