Joel Iventosch has held a variety of positions in the computer science field since 2005. From 2005-2010, they served as a Basketball Official for the Foothills Officials Association. In 2010, they became a Peer Tutor at Aurora University. From 2011-2012, they were a Channel Operations Intern at Isilon Systems. In 2012, they were a Channel Marketing Operations Intern at EMC. From 2013-2015, they held the role of Channel Marketing Specialist at EMC. In 2015, they became a Software Development Intern at Spiceworks. From 2016-2017, they held multiple roles at WayBlazer, including Machine Learning & NLP Software Engineering Consultant and Intern. Finally, from 2017-present, they have been a Machine Learning Team Lead and Research Engineer at Pensa Systems.

Joel Iventosch has a diverse educational background. Joel obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin between 2014 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (major), Computer Science (minor) and Business Administration (minor) from Aurora University between 2010 and 2013. Joel also attended Cuesta College between 2009 and 2010, studying Political Science and Government. Between 2008 and 2009, they attended Dominican University of California, studying Business Administration and Management, General. Finally, they attended Sierra College between 2002 and 2003, studying Math and Spanish. In addition, they obtained a certification in The Ultimate Python Programming Tutorial from Udemy in December 2014.
