Don Walker, CFA has extensive work experience in investment management. Don most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) since July 2020. Prior to that, they held roles such as Vice President and Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director Investments, and Director of Investments at the same organization since 2006. Earlier in their career, Don worked as a Vice President and FI Portfolio Strategist at Janney Montgomery Scott from 2004 to 2006. Don also served as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst and Fixed Income Trader at First Albany Companies from 1993 to 2004. Throughout their career, Don has gained expertise in a range of investment areas including non-profit pension management, equity, fixed income, alternatives, distressed debt, and private equity.
Don Walker, CFA holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with honors in History from Amherst College. Don also obtained an MBA from Villanova University School of Business, with a focus on International Business and Strategic Management. In addition to their degrees, Don has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Don holds a CFA Charter and a CFA Continuing Education Badge from the CFA Institute, which they obtained in September 2002 and June 2018, respectively. Don has also completed several online courses, including "Strategic Thinking," "Understanding and Supporting LGBTQ+ Employees," "Hiring and Supporting Neurodiversity in the Workplace," and "Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking" from LinkedIn, obtained between April and June 2022.
