James Rice

James Rice has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. James started their career as a Staff Auditor at McCartney & Company, where they provided audit and tax preparation services. James then worked as an Accountant at Manheim Metro Detroit Auto Auction before joining Davco Technology LLC as a Senior Accountant. In this role, they were responsible for month-end accounting, annual audits, and budget creation.

Afterward, Rice joined Penske Corporation as a Senior Corporate Accountant, where they handled the consolidation of domestic and international businesses and supported acquisitions. James also conducted regular business reviews with certain subsidiaries. James then moved on to become the Controller at smart USA Distributor LLC, where they played a key role in launching the smart car brand in the US and implemented an ERP system.

Rice later joined Penske Car Rental as a Controller before returning to Penske Automotive Group as an Assistant Controller. In this position, they focused on benchmarking expenses and improving work efficiency through automation. James also had experience in closing monthly and quarterly accounting and coordinating external audits for a NYSE listed company.

Throughout their career, Rice has demonstrated their financial expertise, including successfully implementing a cash management program and proposing changes to company policies and procedures. James is a certified public accountant.

James Rice attended Central Michigan University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
