Kathy Snyder

Kathy Snyder has extensive experience in healthcare, particularly in medical coding and clinical documentation. Currently, Kathy serves as a Senior DRG Auditor at Penstock and has held the position of DRG Appeals Lead at both Optum and Equian since 2020 and 2019, respectively. In these roles, responsibilities include conducting comprehensive reviews of medical records for various insurance providers, training new team members, and overseeing complex appeals. A Registered Nurse by training, Kathy’s earlier positions include Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist and NICU Staff RN at Saint Joseph Health System, along with roles in labor and delivery nursing and homecare case management. Kathy holds an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Bethel College and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from Regis University.
