Peter Short

Peter Short has worked in various roles since 2003. Peter began their career at the Department of Defence of Australia as an Operations Manager in 2003 and then moved to Business Development Manager at Monocre LLC in 2009. Peter then returned to the Department of Defence of Australia in 2009 as an International Engagement Manager. In 2010, they joined the Capability Development Group, Department of Defence, as a Project Manager and the Capability Technology Management College, Department of Defence, as a Long Term Schooling. In 2013, they moved to Northrop Grumman as a Manager, Market Development and Senior Project Manager. In 2017, they joined Omni Executive Pty Ltd as General Manager Operations and then in 2020 they were promoted to General Manager Strategy and General Manager Consulting. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Head of Innovation Engagement at Penten.

Peter Short obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography from UNSW between 1996 and 1998. Peter then completed a Masters in Management from UNSW in 2010, specializing in Capability Development and Acquisition. In 2011 and 2012, they obtained a Masters in Systems Engineering from UNSW, with a focus on Systems Engineering. In December 2010, they also obtained a Certified Practicising Project Manager certification from the Australian Institue of Project Management.
