Mike Turpin has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in the area of healthcare and human services. Mike began their career as a Public Policy Fellow - Attorney at the Minnesota Department of Human Services in August 2007. Mike then went on to serve as an Associate General Counsel from November 2008 to June 2010, and as Deputy General Counsel from July 2010 to April 2012. After that, they joined MNsure as their General Counsel from April 2012 to September 2015. Currently, they hold the position of General Counsel at People Incorporated Mental Health Services, where they started in October 2015 and is currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer alongside their General Counsel role.
Mike Turpin obtained their Juris Doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Carleton College, attending from 1995 to 1999.
In addition to their formal education, Mike Turpin has also obtained a certification in Leadership in Corporate Counsel from the Harvard Law School Executive Education in June 2022.
