Software Engineer at Percona

Vadim Yalovets has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Vadim started their career as a System Administrator at ISP Relcom Ukraine in 2001, where they worked on administrating and maintaining FreeBSD servers. In 2007, they joined Intellecom LLC as an Engineer, providing support for wideband wireless systems and installing wireless equipment for clients. Vadim then moved on to PortaOne, where they worked as a Support Engineer, handling technical support for the company's products and troubleshooting system malfunctions. In 2009, they joined Soft-Industry Ltd. as a System Administrator, providing remote support for hosting companies. Vadim later transitioned to WorldCall, where they worked as a Technical Support Engineer, before eventually joining Percona in 2018 as a Software Engineer. At Percona, they focused on cleaning up and improving dashboards for Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM), a tool for monitoring database performance.

Vadim Yalovets began their education in 1994 at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, where they obtained a specialist degree in IT by 1999.

In terms of additional certifications, Vadim obtained a Professional level of Java certification from Soft Group Ukraine in January 2017. Vadim also completed the Foundations of programming course based on Harvard CS50, offered by BrainBasket Foundation in February 2017.

Furthermore, Vadim received multiple certifications from Coursera. In December 2019, they completed the courses "Getting Started with Go" and "Functions, Methods, and Interfaces in Go." In January 2020, they obtained certifications for the courses "Concurrency in Go" and "Programming with Google Go Specialization." Finally, in March 2020, Vadim completed the "Version Control with Git" course offered through Coursera.

Recently, in January 2021, Vadim acquired a certification in "Learning Kubernetes" from LinkedIn.
