Steve Armstrong has over 30 years of experience in energy analysis and environmental science. Steve has held various roles in different companies, including serving as a Director of Multifamily & Commercial Services at Performance Point, LLC since 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Home Innovation Research Labs as an ICC 700 - 2012, 2015 & 2020 National Green Building Standard Verifier. Steve also held the position of Executive VP at ESG-Energy, where they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team of professional third-party energy and green building verifiers. Steve has also worked as an Environmental Scientist at Environmental Solutions Group and as an Associate Scientist at the Argonne National Laboratory. Steve has a strong educational background, holding undergraduate and graduate degrees in hydrogeology, geology, and geochemistry.
Steve Armstrong has a strong educational background with degrees spanning various fields of study. Steve began their education at Surry Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Science from 1974 to 1976. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology and Sedimentology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, completing their studies from 1976 to 1980.
Steve furthered their education by enrolling in the University of New Brunswick from 1981 to 1985. At this institution, they participated in a Master of Science (MSc) program focusing on Structural Geology and High Temperature Geochemistry. Upon completion of this program, they continued their studies at the University of Illinois Chicago, where they earned another MSc degree in Hydrogeology and Low Temperature Geochemistry, attending from 1991 to 1994.
In addition to their formal education, Steve Armstrong holds a certification from RESNET, which they obtained in February 2006.
