Greg Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Greg started their career at Syracuse Energy, where they served as the Executive Director from 1986 to 1994. Greg then worked as a Consultant at Gregory Thomas & Associates from 1994 to 1996, followed by a role as a Senior Associate at Steven Winter Associates from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they founded Performance Systems Development (PSD) and served as the CEO until May 2017. At PSD, Greg's focus was on designing software and efficiency programs for commercial and residential buildings. Greg also led the DOE funded OpenEfficiency Initiative, providing support for commercial whole building programs to adopt DOE tools. Additionally, Greg served as the Board President and Board Member for Affordable Comfort Inc. from 1990 to 2004, Chair of the Board of Directors for Efficiency First from 2009 to 2012, and Board Treasurer for Efficiency First from 2013 to 2014. Greg also served as a Board Member for RESNET from 2010 to 2014 and for the Home Performance Resource Center from 2010 to 2011. Greg's extensive experience reflects their expertise in the field of energy efficiency and whole building programs.
Greg Thomas attended Marietta College from 1973 to 1975. Following that, they attended Cornell University from 1975 to 1977.
