Michael Vasmer is a Senior Quantum Architecture Scientist at Xanadu since April 2021, engaging in quantum error correction research and independent contracting. Currently affiliated with the Perimeter Institute as a Research Scientist since October 2019, Michael also serves as an Associate Member at the Institute for Quantum Computing. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Perimeter Institute, as well as a PhD Tutor at The Brilliant Club, where Michael developed and delivered quantum computing tutorials to students in low-participation state schools. Michael's research background includes summer positions at Durham University, focusing on superconductors and particle accelerator data analysis. Michael holds a PhD in Quantum Computing and an MRes in Quantum Technologies from UCL, along with an MSci in Physics and Computer Science from Durham University.
