Ian Ahl

Ian Ahl has over 18 years of work experience in the security industry. Ian began their career in 2002 as a Data Network Specialist for the United States Marine Corps. In 2006, they became a Systems Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation. In 2010, they took on the role of HBSS Lead for the Federal Government. In 2011, they founded TekDefense. In 2012, they became a Senior Security Engineer for Jorge Scientific Corporation. In 2013, they joined Mandiant, where they held various roles including Director of Advanced Practices, Senior Manager of Adversary Methods Research, Security Architect, Technical Director, Consulting Manager, Principal Consultant, and Senior Consultant. In 2022, they became the VP of p0 Labs for Permiso Security.

Ian Ahl obtained their Masters in Information Technology from American InterContinental University between 2008 and 2011. In 2009, they obtained the C|EH certification from EC-Council. In 2012, they obtained the CISSP certification from ISC2. In 2013, they obtained the MCPS - HIPS and MCPS - ePO certifications from McAfee.
