In their most recent role as Vice President of R&D, Innovation, and Scientific Affairs at Perrigo Company plc, Sharon's responsibilities include leading research and development efforts, fostering innovation, and managing scientific affairs.
Before joining Perrigo, Sharon served as Senior VP/Group Head of New Sciences at British American Tobacco. Sharon played a crucial role in expanding the company's product pipeline by leveraging corporate venturing and establishing a scientific capability to substantiate human efficacy claims.
Prior to that, Sharon worked for Reynolds American Inc., a subsidiary of BAT, where they held positions as Vice President of Global Vapour Discovery and Development and Head of Tobacco Heated Products R&D. In these roles, they led research and development initiatives, ensured regulatory compliance, and built a long-term product pipeline.
Sharon's career at BAT also includes roles such as Head of Tobacco Heated Products Innovation, Head of Emerging Platforms, and Product Stewardship Manager. In these positions, they led product development cycles, engaged in regulatory affairs, and managed toxicological risk assessments.
Sharon's early career experience includes a role as a Formulation Scientist at Disperse Technologies Inc.
Sharon Goodall earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Portsmouth from 1999 to 2002. Sharon later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Reading from 2005 to 2008.
