Jorge Ivan also contributed to the development and implementation of processes to improve overall operational efficiency in new product introductions.

Hernandez's earlier work experience includes roles such as Sr. Project Engineer at Accuride International Inc. from 2004 to 2007, where they managed interdisciplinary teams and implemented new products and process improvements, and Sr. Project Engineer at Wabash Technologies in 2004, where they introduced a new pedal acceleration transfer program and implemented soldering process improvements.

Their earliest known work experience was at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, where they worked as a Project Engineer from 1997 to 2004. In this role, they managed production lines, a team of operators and engineers, and implemented continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Jorge Ivan Hernandez completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a field of study in Manufacturing from the Instituto Tecnologico de Mexicali. Jorge Ivan attended the institution from 1992 to 1997. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at CETYS Universidad from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in Project Management and Agile Complement from Stratominds in June 2021.
