Peter Marino has a strong background in architecture and design. Peter founded their own firm, Peter Marino Architect, in 1978 and has been serving as the founder and principal ever since. Prior to that, they worked at I.M. Pei/Cossutta & Ponte as an architect from 1974 to 1978, and at George Nelson as an architect from 1971 to 1974. Peter also gained experience as an architect at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) from 1969 to 1970. In addition to their architectural work, Peter Marino recently founded the Peter Marino Art Foundation in 2021. This foundation aims to exhibit a permanent public collection as well as rotating shows from guest artists and collaborators for the Southampton community.
