Diane Sutherland

Diane Sutherland is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in STEM education, engineering, and project management. As the Founder of Brightening the Future of STEM, Diane leads targeted workshops to inspire and engage children, emphasizing accessibility in STEM for all. Current roles include serving as a Special Educator at Peterborough Diocese Education Trust, where personal growth and the nurturing of young people are prioritized. Diane co-managed MDS AUTOCARE LIMITED from 2010 to 2020, overseeing business strategy, finance, and health and safety systems. Previous experience at WYG Group included roles as Senior Project/Programme Manager and Principal Consultant, where Diane managed multiple engineering projects and liaised with regulatory bodies, ensuring projects were delivered on time and under budget. Diane began their career in construction quality assurance at Robert Long Consultancy Limited, supervising environmental systems installations. Diane holds a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Imperial College London, Royal School of Mines.
