Lead Ics/ot Cyber Security / Service Delivery at Petrofac

Calum Rankin has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering industry. Calum started their career as an Apprentice Instrument Technician at Score Group plc, where they gained valuable skills in instrument maintenance, calibration, repair, and commissioning, as well as engineering design and manufacture of valve automation systems. Calum later became a Valve Automation Team Leader at the same company, where they worked closely with clients and colleagues to ensure projects were delivered on time and within budget.

Afterwards, Calum joined Petrofac as an Instrument Technician and then as a Lead Instrument Technician in the maintenance department. In these roles, they were responsible for preventive and restorative maintenance duties, including servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. Calum also played a key role in the installation and commissioning of a new fire and gas system.

Calum then transitioned to Chevron, where they worked as an Instrument Technician in the Intervention Team, focusing on maintaining and repairing instrumentation systems.

Currently, Calum is working at Petrofac as the ICS/OT Cyber Security Lead. In this role, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate cyber risks. Calum is responsible for conducting security and risk assessments of ICS/OT systems and developing risk mitigation plans based on assessments and site surveys.

Throughout their career, Calum has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including valve/actuator sizing calculations, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric control systems, as well as topside process, ESD, and HIPPS valve systems. Calum has also gained experience in project management.

Calum Rankin's education history includes the following:
