Elin S. Witso

Elin S. Witso is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Sjefingeniør at Petroleumstilsynet since July 2020. Witso's extensive experience includes roles such as Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Offshore Installation Manager at Neptune Energy from January 2018 to July 2020. Prior to that, Witso worked at ENGIE E&P as Offshore Installation Manager and Leader HSE Operations from May 2009 to January 2018, and held the position of Principal Engineer/Supervision Coordinator at Petroleum Safety Authority Norway from January 2004 to May 2009. Earlier career highlights include serving as Principal Engineer at The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and Project Engineer at Kværner Oil & Gas. Witso holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), obtained between 1986 and 1990.
