Ryan Verbanaz

Ryan Verbanaz is a Senior Geologist at PetroTel since May 2013, specializing in petroleum exploration and the geology of the Arabian Peninsula. Responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing prospects based on petroleum systems. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Research Assistant at Southern Illinois University, where research focused on reconstructing oceanic and glacial history using benthic foraminifera. Ryan's experience also includes work as a Surface Data Logger at Canrig Drilling Technology Ltd., developing lithology logs and detailed reports on sedimentary structures, as well as an internship at the U.S. Geological Survey, where Ryan utilized ArcGIS and MATLAB to develop a seismic velocity model. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
