Dean Riddlesden has a diverse range of work experience. In 2006, they began their career as a Technical Engineer at DWM Technical Solutions Ltd, where they installed networks for various clients. In 2010, they worked as a Research Intern at Cass Associates, conducting GIS-based analyses for transit-oriented development projects.

In 2011, Dean joined the University of Liverpool as a PhD Researcher, focusing on analyzing and visualizing the intersection between geographic disparities of UK Internet infrastructure and engagement patterns.
