Robin Cafolla

Robin Cafolla has held various roles in the tech industry since 2010. In 2010, they were a Lead Developer at Web Team International, where they managed, maintained, and developed discountvouchers.co.uk and co-ordinated international and in-house teams. From 2011 to 2013, they were an Engineering Manager and Lead Application Developer at Dara Creative, where they managed a team of 8 development staff, led on all technology decisions, and developed web applications in Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and Node. In 2013, they became Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Video Elephant, where they oversaw the technical department, was in charge of development staffing, training and resourcing, and was the lead developer on an application rebuild in Zend Framework 2 using Domain Driven Design. From 2014 to 2015, they took a career break. In 2015, they were Self-Employed as a Games Developer, where they worked on a stand-alone computer game written in JavaScript. From 2016 to 2021, they were at HubSpot, where they started on the team that built the foundations of HubSpot's Customer Hub Product, maintained and added features in Java and ReactJS, and built key projects such as the routing of customers to foreign language support staff and the JIRA integration. Since 2021, they have been at Toast as an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead Manager - Software Engineering, and since 2022, they have been at PetsApp as a Software Engineer.

Robin Cafolla completed a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia from Dublin City University in 2009. During their time at the university, they studied video production, web design, programming, and graphic design.
