Rachel Gonter is the Director of Emergency Department Operations and oversees the Georgia Office Operations for PETTIGREW. Gonter has over 34 years of experience in healthcare operations. She began her career as the part-time practice manager and accountant for an ED Physician practice in 1987. In 1996, Gonter received her joint MBA/MHA from Georgia State University and began working with the Georgia Health Policy Center on their Rural Health Initiative.
In 2000, Gonter left GHPC to become the Controller and eventually the Administrator of a Critical Access Hospital in Georgia. In 2003, Gonter focused her professional efforts in managing a private ED Physician practice as it grew from 8,000 annual visits to over 50,000 annual visits in 2014. In 2017, Gonter joined PETTIGREW, specializing in ED operations. As Director of Operations, she focuses her work on improving the operational policies and procedures followed by U.S, India, and Philippines teams. Gonter maintains her industry knowledge and ties via active participation in various industry associations.
