Alexander Basescu

Alexander Basescu is a seasoned professional with expertise in digital strategy and external relations, currently serving as a Senior Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Previously, Alexander held various roles including Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts and External Relations Specialist at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where significant contributions included writing press materials and conducting engagement analytics. Alexander has academic experience in political science, highlighted by a First Class Honours MA in Politics from The University of Edinburgh and a Junior Year Exchange at the University of Pennsylvania. Additional leadership roles include co-founding the University of Edinburgh Democrats Overseas and serving as Vice President of the Edinburgh Political Union.
