Hilary Rains is an experienced environmental scientist currently serving as the Lead Environmental Scientist at PG Environmental since August 2016, specializing in NPDES permit programs across various federal and state jurisdictions. Previously, Rains held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Indiana University Bloomington, where research focused on methane cycling in Arctic ecosystems and instruction in aquatic chemistry. Additional experience includes managing a wetlands research lab at Florida Gulf Coast University, analyzing methane emissions at The Ohio State University, and conducting research on invasive fish species in the Great Lakes. Rains holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The Ohio State University.
