Matt Hammond

Matt Hammond is a seasoned professional in environmental consulting with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Business Team Lead and Senior Consultant at PGL Environmental Consultants since June 2004, Matt specializes in project permitting, regulatory advice, and environmental impact assessments for a diverse range of clients, including industry, government, and First Nations. In addition to leadership in business development, Matt plays a significant role in stakeholder consultation and the management of environmental assessment processes. Matt also holds a volunteer position as President of the Western & Northern Canada Affiliate of the International Association for Impact Assessment since June 2011, advocating for the advancement of impact assessment practices. Previous experiences include coordinating conservation efforts for sea turtle populations and wildlife in the Caribbean and Greece. Matt holds a B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Calgary and a Post-graduate Diploma in Environmental Science & Management from Capilano University.
