Xiaowei (Bill) Bi is a skilled software engineer with a focus on simulation and validation in the robotics and autonomous systems domain. Currently, with Phantom AI since January 2023, responsibilities include defining validation requirements, managing third-party tasks, and designing regression test strategies, alongside developing infrastructure and data pipelines. Prior experience includes a role at Argo AI, where Xiaowei built a comprehensive offboard tracking system for LiDAR data, and an internship at Bedrock Ocean Exploration, where navigation and obstacle avoidance software for autonomous vehicles was developed. Early experience also includes an internship at MTD Products, contributing to autonomous mowing robot simulation and control systems. Xiaowei holds a Master of Science in Robotics from Northwestern University and a degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
